    As part of a program to inform and engage with IEHA members, while solidifying goals and educational efforts, Michael Patterson, REH –President-Elect, will launch our new Monthly Members Only Educational Forum initiative on January 9, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. 

    Our first program offering will cover the State of the Association. In order to utilize the best of our time, members are encouraged to e-mail their questions toexcel@ieha.org by noon on Wednesday, January 7, 2015. 

    We very much look forward to your participation in the launch of IEHA’s newest endeavor.

    Beginning January 9th, 2015, and continuing the second Friday each month, IEHA’s President-Elect, Michael Patterson, REH, will host a Monthly Members Only Educational Forum. This will be an opportunity for all members to participate and gain valuable education and industry related insight. CEUs will be available and will be accessible through your IEHA.org membership account. Each educational session will last one hour.

     
    IEHA is currently vetting speakers and subject matter. If you have any suggestions of topics you’d like to see covered, please leave your suggestion in the form of a reply below, or via e-mail to mpatterson.ieha@gmail.com for consideration.

    Congratulations to BOD member Gonzalo Cazares-Valles, who recently achieved his CEH certification from IEHA. Gonzalo works for Stratosphere Hotel and Casino as a Guest Room Attendant and started his career at Caesars Palace in housekeeping. He holds a GRA and HPU certificate from The Culinary Academy of Las Vegas.

    Dear IEHA Membership,

    The voting polls are now open! Head to www.ieha.org for your chance to have your say in IEHA's future leadership! Voting will be open now until September 15th at midnight (EST).

     

    Fortunately, voting online means voting is easy! Just follow the simple steps listed below:

     

    1. IEHA members must log in to the IEHA website in order to vote. All IEHA members are supplied with a username/password to access the members-only section of the IEHA website upon joining IEHA. If you do not know your current username and password, please click on the "Forgot your username and password" link in the upper right-hand corner of the IEHA homepage, and your username and password will be sent to your e-mail address that the IEHA Association Office has on file. If the Association Office does not have your most current e-mail address, please call (800) 200-6342, and we will be happy to set you up with a username/password.


    2. Once you are logged in to the IEHA website, a link will appear in the upper right-hand corner of the homepage that says "2014 Officer Elections! Vote Now!" Look for the handshake icon. Please click on this link.


    3. Next, a window will pop up with all candidates listed. Please choose one (1) candidate for the President-Elect position, one (1) for the Secretary/Treasurer position, and three (3) for the Director-at-Large positions.

    The Ronald McDonald House cleanup scheduled for May 31 has been canceled. Ronald McDonald House has let us know that their renovation has just been approved and will begin soon. They have asked us to re-schedule again after renovations, which will be sometime in July. Once a new date has been set, the event will be posted. Thank you.
