Worldwide IEHA Board of Directors' Meeting Updates

Dear Member,

Last weekend, the IEHA Board of Directors met at the newly renovated Association Offices in Westerville, Ohio. We spent hours in discussion, reviewing several reports from our committee chairman and Directors at Large. I wanted to personally share with you a few key updates that resulted from that meeting:

  • We are launching a new member recruitment initiative called the IEHA Ambassador Program. The program is simple: Recruit 16 new members in 2016. If you are interested in becoming an IEHA Ambassador, simply send an email to and indicate your interest.

Members who sign up should attempt to recruit at least 16 new members between March 1 - September 1, 2016. When you sign up a new member, just make sure your name is noted on their application. All IEHA ambassadors who fulfill their commitment will receive 10 percent off their convention registration, a special “ambassador” badge and recognition during IEHA’s 50th Conference and Convention, in EHT and on the IEHA website. One lucky ambassador will be randomly drawn to win an all-expenses paid trip to IEHA’s 50th Conference and Convention in Chicago. This package includes an upgraded luxury room at the Holiday Inn Mart Plaza.

  • Effective April 1, 2016, IEHA’s annual membership dues will increase to $150. This is the first dues increase in several years and was recommended to offset increasing shipping and administrative costs. New member joining fees will increase to $50.

  • Effective April 1, 2016, the CEH/REH/Master designation annual renewal fee will increase to $50. We are making some exciting changes to our education program and will use these funds in order to maintain its position as the leading designation and certification program in the industry. This includes a new online system where you will be able to directly upload scans of your CEUs so you always have access to your standings.
  • Effective April 1, 2016, the renewal period for your CEH/REH designation will change to every two years. In addition, we are transitioning everyone to the same renewal date of May 31 to help streamline the system and reduce the administration required to oversee the process. You will receive a follow-up letter identifying how this specifically affects you.
  • Individuals who are 65 years old and have maintained at least five years of membership with IEHA will maintain their certification and be exempt from the CEU process.

  • Exciting plans are coming together for our 50th Conference and Convention in Chicago this October. Throughout the festivities, we will be celebrating and recognizing the great “teamwork” IEHA members have demonstrated over the past year.

  • We reviewed and approved the new platform for EHT, which was released to the membership this week. We hope you find the updated format to be more user-friendly and easier to access.

As I hope you can tell, this Board is very committed to taking IEHA to the next level and making every effort to act on behalf of your best interest. If you would like to get involved in a committee or have ideas on ways we can continue to improve our operations, I welcome you to email or call me at or 773-307-4129.

Thank you for continued support and commitment to our Association.
